  1. I found it interesting to see how he recieved his first name. I also found it unbelieveable that he had won 3 world cups. I thought the flow of your presintation was great. Great use of topic sentences and structure to transition from topic to topic. Great Job!

  2. I used to play soccer when I was a kid, but I'm not really interested in it nowadays. Still, three world cups sound impressive even to me. You maybe could have punched up the presentation a little. You know, catch the audiences attention.

  5. Cool presentation, pele himself was like the king of football. I used to play when i was younger but got banned because of slide kicking. I would love to learn to do the bicycle kick but I've heard it called the scorpion kick.

  6. I'm not a big soccer fan, but this presentation really made me know that if there is one soccer player to know, it is Pele. I also found it interesting that he was dealing with the racial discrimination going on at the time, which may have gave him the drive to be the player that he was, and maybe why he didn't end up with problems of being famous like the other soccer player that you showed. Great job!

  7. i knew a lot about Pele as a soccer icon but i had no clue how he ot there and all the hardship he went through when discrimination was the big major problem at his time. my comparison to Pele would be Franz Anton Beckenbauer, beacuse these too kings did well enough to bring soccer to the United States.

  8. You guys really accentuated how big he was for the sport of soccer because I have read a lot about him and his time in Brazil and in the United States. I know that recently he was one of the members who brought back the New York Cosmos and they made a youth club along with that.

  11. I always knew the name Pele, but i never have looked into him myself. the video you showed made my mouth drop, he truly was the king of soccer. It's such an incredible story and it makes me really admire Pele because of his commitment to the sport. It's sad to think we lose passion now-a-days and get stuck on the "materialistic" side of things. Pele stayed true to himself & his sport.

  12. I am a huge sports fan, and really liked the presentation. I never knew as much about soccer as I did about other sports. It was great to see an athlete of that caliber, I believe he was at the level of Gretzky and Jordan.
